Detailed Engineering
During the detailed engineering phase, the final drawings and
documentation are produced which will allow materials to be procured and the
project to be constructed. QualEx
is well aware of the cost and schedule
impacts associated with deviations from the project scope during this phase
of the project. Project scope development, when necessary, should be held to
a minimum during the detailed engineering phase to avoid schedule delays and
increased costs.
The accuracy and completeness of documentation developed during the preliminary engineering phase should be the foundation for the final documentation and drawings that will be produced during the detailed engineering phase. The purpose of the detailed engineering phase is to develop the “details” which will provide the client with a workable design, allow materials to be purchased, permit the project to be efficiently constructed, and provide for the ease of maintenance and operability.
