QualEx’s current employment group consists of engineers, project managers, procurement and project services personnel, designers, draftspersons and administrative staff. The majority of our employees work within our engineering offices located in Mt. Vernon, Indiana and Paducah, Kentucky and may be required to occasionally enter our client’s facilities to gather data or attend meetings to accomplish assignments. Current Career Opportunities

  • Senior Electrical Engineer- Primary duties include preparation of drawings and documentation for power distribution, lighting, motor control communications, heat tracing, grounding systems, instrument plans, circuit schedules and instrument loop drawings. Candidates with 5 years minimum experience desired. Recent graduates will be considered, BSEE degree required, P.E. a plus.

  • Instrument Engineer- Sizing and specifying chemical process plant instrument field devices, reviewing P&ID drawings and managing the instrumentation portion of projects. BS degree in engineering required.

  • Senior Mechanical Engineer- Primary duties include the development of equipment inquiry packages, bid evaluations, drawing and calculations approval, estimating. Candidates must have a working knowledge of industrial process equipment, pressure vessels and API storage tanks. A minimum of 15 years of experience in the chemical, refinery and power industries is desired for this position. BSME degree and P.E. license required.

  • Civil / Structural Engineer- Primary duties include the development of equipment inquiry packages, bid evaluations, drawing and calculations approval, estimating. Candidates must have a working knowledge of industrial process equipment, pressure vessels and API storage tanks. A minimum of 15 years of experience in the chemical, refinery and power industries is desired for this position. BSME degree and P.E. license required.

  • Designers- Piping Designers- Experience with preparation of piping plans/isometrics and field verification of P&IDs. Civil/Structural Designers- Experience with preparation of concrete and structural steel drawings. A minimum of 3 years experience in the industrial market with ability to gather field information for design is preferred. Experience with AutoCAD required and 3D experience a plus.
